These actually work, better than Black Hole, on hard floors. They slip a bit on carpet. But the best non-strap rock stop I have owned. I bought a bunch of them.

Only ones that my cellist daughter says won’t slip! And they come in fun colors she loves

It hugs the floor like a baby hugs its mama! For real, zero slippage! I use this use gorilla sized top from Eastman and is AWESOME...until you try to fing a GREAT stop that works with a cup juuuust large enough to fit it without it skipping out of the "anchor zone"!
If you are a doublebassist who it tired of chasing after your bass, standing OR seated (how I play), and you don't want some belt with a plastic child's choking hazard strapped to a seatbelt that looks amateur, spend less than 30 bucks and you can RELAX and play! Get this stopper. Don't cheap out. Support these folks. You play, THEY play. You have problems? They fix. 'Nuff said.
Thanks, from one professional to another. You are saving my tail!

Great product! The delivery took a little longer than normal, so they threw in an extra rock stop for free! Thank you!

I love these . I get more periodically to make sure all of my cellos and basses have them in the accessories pocket. Then I found two of the cellos need seconds for absent minded students . These wonderful fun sure stops make it so much fun.

A cellist from Houston had joined our regional symphony to help fill out the cello section for our final concert early last Summer and after he had left to drive back to Houston, I found his endpin holder left on the stage. Given its position on the stage, I made a "best guess" regarding whose it was and sent him an email asking if it was his. He said his was missing and asked me to just hold it for him until the next season. I tried playing with it and loved it. I checked the local music store and an online resource but but couldn't find anything that looked right and I couldn't find a brand name on it. Of course, at our first rehearsal he told me the brand name and also about the "Maker's Choice" special. I'm very happy with my new SmartStop and let every cellist that wants to try it themselves. I won't miss having a strap connected to my chair leg.

Slips on tile floor. Had to step on it to create suction .

Smartstops are the ONLY rockstops I use now, and the only rockstops I recommend to students and colleagues. They are the only ones that work for me!

This are the best rock stops I have used! They stay put on the ground on many different surfaces and my students absolutely love them. I am excited to continue using them with my cello performances and gift them to students in my cello studio.
Thank you :)

I’ve been playing cello for 20+ years. This is the best rock stop on the market.

Works amazing and the mix of colors are so fun and unique! Other rock stops slip a lot and need spit or water to keep their grip. This stop doesn’t slip but may need an occasional quick wipe off if it collects dust or dirt from a wood floor. Other than that, works like a dream and my students love using them when they come for lessons. I have two and will be getting more as gifts for my students! Thank you for a great product!

Purchased a bunch of these for my students to give out at the end of year recital. They all loved them and immediately started using them. They are stunning aesthetically and they really stick to the floor. I'd like to get more for myself! Thank you Sarah, for all you do. Your innovative creativity is really remarkable to the cello community!
